Behind the Counter at Angel 24: The Quiet Charm of Sora in Blue Archive

In the sprawling, high-octane world of Blue Archive, players are constantly swept up in tactical warfare, geopolitical friction between massive academies, and high-stakes mysteries. Kivotos is a city where high school students casually walk around with heavy-caliber firearms, summon military tanks, and wage school-wide turf wars.

Yet, nestled quietly on the first floor of the SCHALE headquarters is a modest convenience store called Angel 24. And standing nervously behind its counter is someone who represents the absolute heart of everyday life in Kivotos: Sora.

The Face of Angel 24

Sora serves as the lone clerk and effective manager of Angel 24, the go-to shop where players spend their hard-earned pyroxenes and credits on upgrade materials. Visually, she cuts an instantly recognizable and endearing figure. With long, straight golden-blonde hair tied back with ribbons, bright light-blue eyes, a neat polo-style blouse, a striped bowtie, and a classic blue shop apron, she looks like any typical retail worker—except for the subtle pair of small wings resting on her back.

What sets Sora apart from almost every other recurring character in Blue Archive is her age. While the vast majority of the cast consists of high school students from major factions like Trinity, Millennium, or Gehenna, Sora is explicitly confirmed to be of junior high school (middle school) age. Because she has not yet graduated into a high school academy, her future remains open-ended, and she exists in a rare tier of younger civilian youth trying to survive an adult-free city dictated by armed teenagers.

Her tiny stature adds another layer of wholesome realism: because she is notably short, she famously has to stand on a small platform or box behind the counter just to see her customers eye-to-eye.

A Timid Soul in a World of Chaos

Kivotos is loud, bombastic, and chaotic, but Sora is the exact opposite. She is intensely introverted, deeply timid, and easily flustered.

When Sensei walks into the shop, Sora’s greeting is usually a stuttering, nervous mix of professional courtesy and sheer panic (“Wh-welcome! … Sensei!”). Having grown up with cautious warnings about strangers bearing unearned kindness, she initially views people with a healthy dose of wariness. This vulnerability is reflected even in the game’s user interface: while tapping or “patting” other students usually yields cheerful, confident reactions, doing the same to Sora causes her eyes to swirl in absolute panic. Rather than provoking a desire to tease, her reaction instantly sparks a protective instinct among players.

Because Angel 24 is located inside SCHALE, its primary customer base is essentially just Sensei. During quiet hours when no one else is around, Sora can often be found looking a bit bored, passing the time on her well-worn, flower-strapped flip-phone.

More Than Just a Shop Interface

Despite her shyness and small size, Sora takes her responsibilities seriously. She single-handedly manages inventory, logs product shipments, tracks expiration dates, and keeps the store running 24 hours a day.

Over time, her narrative footprint has quietly expanded beyond a simple vendor screen:

  • The RABBIT Platoon Connection: After the events of the Rabbit of Caerbannog storyline, Sora became a familiar and comforting face to the cash-strapped, shelter-deprived members of SRT Academy’s RABBIT Platoon, regularly coordinating to provide them with surplus store bento boxes.
  • An Anchor of Normalcy: During massive narrative crises—such as when the SCHALE building itself undergoes military sieges or structural emergencies—Sora’s practical adjustments (like taking shelter in the back room) ground the narrative, reminding players of the ordinary civilians caught in the crossfire.
  • Community Mascot Status: Sora’s popularity has transcended her in-game sprite. She has famously stepped out of the game interface to host official 3D anniversary streaming skits, interacting with fans and presenting merchandise.

Why Sora Matters

In a game defined by grand sci-fi spectacles, tactical warfare, and heavy emotional stakes, Sora is a gentle reminder of what Sensei is ultimately fighting to protect: normalcy.

She doesn’t carry a rifle, she doesn’t command a tank squad, and she doesn’t try to save the world. Instead, she just keeps the lights on, manages her inventory, and nervously welcomes Sensei back home. For every player returning from a grueling campaign or a punishing raid boss, walking into Angel 24 to hear Sora’s soft voice is the ultimate comfort—proving that even in a chaotic city like Kivotos, everyone needs a safe, quiet corner to catch their breath.
